Soccer Player Imprisoned on Red Notice

Well now, Bahrain has issued a red notice against Hakeem al-Araibi, a defender for the Australia's Pascoe Vale Football Club. Imprisoned for over two months in Bangkok after being arrested during his honeymoon, al-Araibi has now been released. The red notice against al-Araibi was first issued by Bahrain, on accounts that the soccer player had been convicted and sentenced in abstentia on accounts of "terrorism-related offenses." The Bahraini government has also been cited by Human Rights Watch as having a zero-tolerance policy towards political dissidents and free media.
